3 easy steps:
Step 1 - Detach from car.

Step 2 - Separate or keep together and paint. Rattle cans are fine.

Ste 3 - Wait for paint to dry, have a cup of tea, take the dog for a walk, read the paper, carry on working, watch cash in the attic / countdown / the sh!ty midweek light entertainment program of your choice. Once dry, stand back and admire your handywork. Re-attach to car.

Haha aye your probably right actually....I presume the grills are easy enough to remove? Any particular type / brand of paint?
 
Push up and roll out about the top axis.

I used plastidip for a nice satin matt finish (which is the only black u should consider imo :wink: ) but if you want gloss black then prep by sanding to give the plastic a key then a layer of plastic primer, then paint and laquer if required.
