Wanted a motor for convertible roof 54 plate z4

Hi

Looks like the writing is in the wall. I have to help the roof back when it is reclining for the first 6". I gave been told this is the motor on its way out. I have looked around and can't find anywhere that sells the motor other than BMW who want £330. Is this what is expected or can someone point me in a different direction

there have been a couple of posts where people have got one from sopers for less. not much less. search is your chum.
 
280 from sopers..... dont look for a second hand one as it will probably be on its last legs.. had mine out cleaned it and it has worked a few times but it really needs a new motor
 
You will probably need a new housing for it too - about a further £60. The one in your car will be waterlogged I am getting :(
 
Nope - I have succumbed and booked it in on Friday to have it done by someone who knows what they're doing. Lack of time and bravery Jan :oops:
