I'm after a new gear knob for my E85, 6 speed, chrome and black finish

New/near new condition important as mine is pretty rough

Why not get a 'ZHP'. Miles better than a standard gear knob. You can pick it up pretty cheap from brand new from dealers. Heres a link for BMW Plymouth's listing on ebay.

I'm after one too! my OCD can't take putting an 'M' branded product on a non 'M' car!

ZHP is a nice feel though and weighted

I think an M badge is a different kettle of fish.

Putting on a genuine M accessory that serves an actual purpose (for example; 224's, steering wheel or gear knob). Completely acceptable IMO!

I've got a standard one that came off my E86 when I fitted a ZHP that I can't see me ever using! It's leather and stainless finish.

I'd describe it as excellent, but it isn't quite perfect - there are 2 tiny knicks on the metal.

As I'd prefer not to have to post it, where are you guys? (I'm on the Berks/Hants/Surrey borders).

As nice as the ZHP is I just couldn't have the M badge on a non M car.

New knob bought from eBay for around £10, not genuine obviously but still looks the part to me

No injuries sustained when removing the old one!
