Hi all,

Picked up my search for a car again after a few other things got in the way.

Looking for a 3.0
manual
Xenons
Ideally sports spec will consider others though.
Mileage, I don't mind. Must have a good service history / maint with receipts for work done.
Budget is up to 9k

Please let me know what you have. Looks like I've missed out on some very nice cars in the last week or so.....

Can't ever recall a potential buyer not fussed if it was roady or coupe :?
You may regret your decision depending which you end up with :D

Have you got both yet chris?
Nah mate. Finding it difficult to find the time to spec out a uk car atm. Doing two runs a week to Hamburg from Vleuten for a job and it's a real chew of a trip.
Got my dad on the case re a couple of cars but he found faults with both. He's pickier than me so i trust his judgement.
Still on the cards tho. Still keepin an eye out and if a really spiffy low miles one comes up i'll be straight on a flight out of shiphol for butchers' ...

Yea why not , id say on a parallel miles/spec you will pay slightly more for a coupe , stylewise they have no equal imo for the pricepoint , they look stunning & can't see that changing anytime soon
Downside is those looks can't be enjoyed from behind the wheel so if you plan enjoying most of your miles as pleasure & not commute then i would err towards the roady  all opinions are subjective & ultimately go for the best car you find that makes your wallet slacken  Si straight 6 is a great performer in either guise

Cheers mr wilks  performance, history and maint of the car are at the top of the list for me. Something that's had money spent on it when needed and well maintained

Would reccommend u still do all necessary checks and not rely solely on good maintenance history. Mine came with full history and had £1000's spent on it but it came with issues that i spotted on inspection. Was tempted to walk away but decided to haggle down the price and fix myself.
The throttlebody also need replacing a month into ownership which couldnt have been predicted. Anything can develop at anytime.
If you decide on a 80k+ miler make sure the ccv, cam cover gasket, oil filter housing gasket have been replaced. Can be an expensive job if u get a mechanic to do it. Or parts, 3 hours+ and skinned fingers if u do it urself

Thanks Chris

Worth noting Chris has the previous 3.0 M54 engine whilst you will be looking at the N52 3.0 with a coupe or facelift Si roadster
oh yah mr wilks, very true, different engine config. but principle remains the same - don't rely solely on existing history and bills etc.....
