Wanted 224m Alloys (any condition)

Hi guys,
After a second set of wheels and looking at the standard z4m 18inch 224 alloys.
Will consider any set, with/without tyres, good or bad condition.
Cheers,

Have ball park figures you'd be prepared to pay for A1 condition vs needing a refurb and with / without tyres?

Hey,
I guess between £500-£1000 depending on overall condition.
Pretty wide range but without seeing a set it is hard to place a value.
Cheers,
Gregg.

I have some 224s with Michelin Pilot Super Sports all round. From memory I think 5mm-ish on the fronts and 6-7mm on the rear, but I would need to confirm. The rims are in very good condition. Again, I would need to take them out of storage to confirm the exact condition and take pictures, but I'm pretty sure they have no kerbing and only a couple of small marks. Here is the best picture I have of them at the moment, just to give you an idea:

The price I had in mind was £650, based on condition and the tyres, but you would have to give me a couple of weeks check them out properly because I don't want to waste anybody's time - hence no for sale ad yet.

I live in London in a shoebox, so they are in storage in Aylesbury, Bucks. I was going to keep them, in case I ever sold the car, but apparently it isn't cool to keep half a Z4 worth of spares in your parents' garage for several years. :D

Nonsense! I live in London too and for years I've been keeping half a Z4's worth of spares in an outbuilding at my parents' house (about 15 miles from Aylesbury). I would use their garage, but I keep my Westfield and a trailer in there and my Zed will be joining it soon :D
I'm emigrating in a couple of weeks and I'll be shipping my Zed once I'm settled in later next year. I'll be shipping my track wheels and tyres and lots of other parts, so I'll probably sell my 224s. Since 2009 they've only be used for track days and not at all for a year or two, but they'll need refurbishing. The tyres are good with PS2s on the front and GY Eagle Assymetrics on the rear. I have half a dozen spare tyres with varying tread depths too. I'll try to organise some for sale threads with photographs before I leave.

If the OP doesn't want these can I have first refusal?

I live "up't'norf" so can afford a garage to keep them in :P

Sure, yep. Second refusal, if there is such a thing.

Well, if you don't care about condition, and don't need tyres, then I may have a set available in the New Year, depending on how my (still not assessed) insurance claim goes.

I was planning on buying a new set from Germany in Jan/Feb to go with a new set of rears, but am a bit in limbo at the moment.

Would only suspect they're worth £200 as they'll all poor condition due to me not taking any car of them once the last refurb started bubbling/flaking.

Thanks for the replies guys, I'm in no rush either so can wait until people have got them together etc.

No need to offer me first refusal MrPT, when you put a thread up ill see and make my choice then.

Still looking at 19" CSLs but had them on my last E86 3.0 and the tram lining was awful.... anyone else had similar experience of running 19 CSLs on a Z4M?

I've been running CSLs for the last 8 years with Michelin PS and now PSS, never had any issue with tramlining. I also run them with Vredestein Wintrac Xtreme and again no tramlining issues.

Hi gregg,
Perhaps these may be of interest to you, I am open to offers.

If these aren't damaged withbuckles and welding etc.
just needing a good old refurb I'd be very interested in these.

Now that I've got my car back - with a pair of new alloys on the offside, I'm going to be selling the nearside par (1 front & 1 rear).

However, I'm sure no-one wants half a set, so I've also ordered a set from Germany (from this ebay B-grade new stock listing) - as I was going to do before the accident.

These should be arriving in the next couple of weeks, so once I have 2 of them fitted onto the nearside, I'll get clear photos of the kerbing/chips on the 2 taken off, and photos of the 2 new ones that have not been mounted.

I'm asking £300, and I'm not offering to pack/post/courier them.

Collection is welcome (Fri-Sun), and delivery is possible if it's on my route home on Thursday evening (see map below - I usually leave at 3:30-4:30pm - and get home at 7:30-9:30pm) - or handover possible with a meet halfway (upto 60 miles) somewhere else (Fri evening or weekends).

There were a few people interested when I spoke about these before Christmas, so I'll list the order in which I received the PMs, so seems fair to give each person the option before offering them to the next on the list. I'll give each person 1 week to accept/decline before moving on (countdown won't start until I have had chance to swap the wheels & post the photos).

I have a set of 224M alloys on the Z4M that I just bought on the forum. Come with tyres but the wheels would benefit from a refurb.

Let me know if these would be of interest. I'd like to buy a set of CSLs for the car.

Thanks for keeping me in mind buddy :)
Just literally picked up a set of wheels at the weekend so no longer needing them unfortunately

No problem, thanks for letting me know.

I'll remove you from the list.

Still not got my car back, but I believe a deal has been made with a 'consortium' involving Mr Wilks.

1at part of deal will be completed today (2 of the new wheels), and 2nd part (2 used wheels) will be completed once I get the car back and tyres swapped over.

Thanks for all the interest.

Btw, if anyone is considering buying a couple of brand new wheels, then I'd suggest buying (after making them an offer) a full set from the eBay seller 'reifenprofi.de', as they seem to have a warehouse full of them...and if they're as good as mine, you'd never think they were ‘b grade'.
