Wanted - 224 front wheel(s)

Hi

Bit of a long-shot; I’m looking for a front 224 style wheel as I’ve been advised that one of mine is buckled. I can’t tell other than a noise that I thought might be a failing wheel bearing, little to no vibration. It doesn’t have to be pristine condition as I’m planning a refurb. I’d consider buying a pair if necessary. Tyre(s) not needed.

Advice on where to look & what to pay for a wheel gratefully received. Ditto for a decent refurb somewhere near me (prefer to take the car than post the wheels).

Thanks

Tony

These rarely come up as a set of 4, chances of finding a single or even a pair are slim to none i'd say.

Well I've got a set of 4 fronts, so if the OP knows of a pair of rears we could have a deal! :)

Great idea but I'm afraid I don't. I haven't had the wheel checked by a specialist, just been advised of it's condition by a local garage.

Well I also thought it was worth a try - but I'm not surprised by the result!

I wouldn't pay that for it  make him a bid & leave him with it
Is it not feasible to have yours professionally straightened prior to refurb ?

Thanks and wow on the price! When I find somewhere for a refurb I will likely take their advice but slightly wary because of very different opinions on repair/replace debate that I've read

As others have said I'd look into getting a wheel specialist to have a look and find out what exactly is wrong and if it's possible to fix it. I know some don't approve of wheel fixes but im in the camp if its done right it should be fine. Would be much cheaper than finding a replacement

Thanks for the replies and advice, I will delve deeper into the world of repair, recommendations most welcome. Maybe my mind is playing tricks but I reckon that Ebay wheel (Mr Wilks' link) is £30 more expensive today than last night...
