My wife is letting me have some fun, so I'm on the hunt for a BMW Z4 35is with black interior and low mileage. Mods or not figured id put my feelers out.

That is a very late car you are after. There won't be many to choose from of that age. In case you didn't know there were virtually no changes made to the E89 from 2013 (facelift date) until they stopped production in 2016.

Any reason why you specifically want a 35is? It is the top of the tree model but can come with some top of the tree costs aswell.
 
I figured there was a better chance at low mileage, nearing the end of the 89 any small kinks worked out with updated parts and a bit of peace of mind.

35is while power isn't my selling point as I could add a tune. Looks like the added cooling, suspension upgrades and a bit of cosmetics for the front seemed worth it enough for my budget, but I'm also here to learn. I'll keep my eyes open for a 35i.
 
There is this one being sold a long term forum member who is a detailer for a living, so you can guarantee it will be very tidy.

Although the 35i came with a manual gearbox (in the UK anyway) quite a few seem to have been specified with the DCT so that might give you more options, although I don't think they all had the adaptive suspension that was standard on the 35is.

Anyway good luck finding the right one and don't forget we like to see photos!

Took your advice and found a 2016 35i with 8k miles having it shipped to me now so just have to wait patiently for her now.
 
Found a gorgeous 2016 35i with 8k miles and had it shipped here to the bay area.
Had a Alfa Romeo giulia and wanted to go smaller, and always wanted a Z4
Haven't taken many pictures yet but planning to get her wrapped next weekend.

I found this odd speaker looking thing, any idea what it is?

Is it related to that strange box in the rear storage area ?

Certainly not a bmw part..
 
Interesting, the cable comes out of the center speaker then was tucked in the center storage didn't seem oem to me. I'll have to take some stuff apart to tell what's going on.
