Wanted - 2.5Si / 3.0Si

Hi Guys,

I'm new to the forum but after having owned an 01 MX5 for the last 3 years I'm looking to upgrade to a Z4 for the straight 6 and the extra refinement that it brings!

I'm looking for a low milage Z4 (ideally sub 50k) in either 2.5Si or 3.0Si guise preferably in Montego Blue or Black with sports seats!
I would also love a coupe but currently can't justify 12-13k asking price.

A Montego Blue Coupe is lovely, but I'm biased! :lol: Mind you a Ruby Black is also lovely!

But as you say Coupes are dear at the mileage you are looking for.

Just for clarity, I think the seats you probably want are called "M-Sport" seats by BMW - they have the deeper side bolsters and extendable base as in my photo below.

These were standard on Sport models, whereas the SE models had what BMW called "Sport" seats but really arent sporting at all! Although I have seen a few SE's with the "M-Sport" seats - they were an option and some people have retro-fitted them, albeit at a price! M-sport seats seem to go for up to £800 a pair on here.

Anyway, good luck finding one - and don't forget when you do we like photos!

Because I quickly realised how dull it is not being able to put the roof down

Yeah its the M-Sport seats I'm after.

I've already been to see a few but most were uncared for and showed signs they had been hammered.
Eventually I found the right one that had been cared for so made an offer that was accepted. Two days before heading to pick it up and I get a text saying its been sold to someone else for a higher price :x !

FWIW if you could live with silver there is a 59K miles Coupe being sold privately on autoTrader for £9,500 - if I was looking I'd be all over it! (Especially as it has 2-tone seats in black with blue bolsters). :lol:

Although sadly it is down in my county.

Unfortunately not. I wasn't asked and didn't think much of it but thats now a lesson learned!
It was an 2.5Si, 07, 35,000 miles in grey with Cream leather M-sports! very nice car but required a new engine mount and roof motor.

Thanks for the heads up as it looks very nice. I'll be looking to go and have a look if its still about in two weeks time as I'm out the county this weekend and its quite a way away. I'm yet to go and see one within 150miles of where I live
