Wanted: 2.5 or 3.0 Manual roadster

I'm looking for a 2.5 or 3.0 roadster with manual transmission. Ideally a 3.0 in black or dark grey.

I expect to do 10-15k per year, so don't really want to buy a car exceeding the 70k miles mark.

The catch: my budget is £4300. I know this is pushing it a little, but I've seen a couple out there (incidentally, already gone by the time I'd called).

That seems quite a tall order for a sub 70k miles for £4.3k, but you may be lucky if in the right place and right time.
Spring is coming so prices will start to rise soon, especially if you 're after a Roadster ?

Thanks man, I wish I started to look before Christmas... I've been doing my snow dance, so here's hoping! :D

I have until the end of February to find something, so may be able to scrape together a little more, but with prices rising it'll probably be all relative!
 
I wouldnt worry too much about the mileage, if the cars been looked after.

I recently bought a high spec 3.0 with 85k to replace my 2.5 which today just clocked over the 125k mark. However the 2.5 is singing so well, im still not sure which one I intend to keep. The 2.5 would be in your price bracket, but obviously well exceeds your requirements.

Basically, ignore the milage and look at the car and its history. The early engines are bullet proof.

Adding your location may also help you find your car, as people will know if you're local enough to view theirs. :thumbsup:
 
I've never really been too fussy over mileage In the past, I'm more concerned about selling it. I know I'll do a lot of miles, and I'll add a fair bit over 2/3 years. 10/15k was a bit of an optimistic statement really...

As for location. I'm either in Newcastle or London. So it's a bit tricky! I also have the luxury of free fuel (for now), so I don't mind travelling to see a car. 8)
 
Re your budget & probable miles you will add ?
A 100k car should already be reflecting the miles in a lower purchase price , it won't be any worse a car if it's been looked after :?
Adding another 25k/30k to a 100k car wouldn't hit the residual as hard as adding it to a 75/80k car that could cost 20%/30% more to buy initially :wink:
