Hvve you never seen immaculate 108's... i missed out on a set on an Irish forum a few weeks ago... must not exist in the UK from all the sh*te they put on the roads for the ice :poke:

LOL - as I'm sure you've seen from all the posts on here, the 108s only have to hear somebody say the word 'salt' and they start to corrode. You might be better off getting a good s/h set cheap and having them refurbed to your standards. :)

I have a set of 108's for sale - Fabulous condition, recent full split refirb with nearly new non-runflat tyres (done 2000 miles)

I'm going to stick them on Ebay later this week but thought I'd mention it on here first.

Yes, I know I have not posed much and that it is generally fround upon to sell an item when not being a member for long, but I have been following this forum since I had my car (2 years), had nothing to add to the far superior experts on here and the bottom line is, if I can help a fellow member out - then where is the problem..

Regards

Mark

A little bit "off-topic" but hopefully in the spirit of this thread.
I bought a set of 108s - which had been refurbed to a high standard. Like a lot of other posts they are quite a "fragile" wheel. What I mean is that the wheel marks really, really easily. So be prepared to invest in a fair bit of upkeep. I have some of that pricey wheel wax - Swissvax "Autobahn". I have built up a few layers of this wax on the wheels to give them a fair shot of a long life... One area to watch is the bit where the spokes meet the inner rim i.e. there is a slight overlap. I use a wheel brush to gently remove any gunk that gets between the two parts of the wheel - to try and reduce the risk of the lacquer being eaten away where they join.
If you don't mind the regular TLC then you will have a great looking set of wheels. 8)
Be prepared to buy a set of "tatty" wheels and get them refurbed. Or pay a fair bit more for a set of decent s/h rims.
Good luck. I reckon they really make the car.

i have a brand new set (covered 500 miles after the dealer replaced all under the warranty) nicely boxed up in my garage for when i sell.. however fragile is an understatement.. i recon my wheel.. which have been boxed for 6 months... have probably started to corrode with just the moisture in the air.

I'm currently refurbing a set, they will be powder coated, black silver centres high silver round the rims, look very nice and look brand new too.

Will just be the rims though? Any good?
