want to hear my alarm..

hi all, i tryed to turn the alarm on on a 3.0si roadster 08, by pushing the boot button for a few sec (thats what the car manual says..) but no luck ..
any advice..?

alarms are optional equipment here in the US. Anything in the US manual with a star beside it is.
 
Lock the car with the 'blip' on the key then open it with the key in the door lock. If it goes off you have an alarm and all is well
 
As above i tried my wallet key and the alarm started well some really strange noises managed to get the key in the ignition befrore it went into full alarm sound :oops:
 
mine is the worst alarm sound ever. amazing on a group 20, £47,000 car.

A cat jumped in once when i was at a friends having lunch outside.. i went over to see why it went off and i swear the cat was laughing.

I have a tracker though so it's all good :)
 
I find my factory alarm works well, i had my alarm set but forgot then began jacking the car up to take the off wheel and the alarm sounded.
