wanna play pool ?

we have mentioned this before and i was surprised to see how many like a game of pool
well, me and tug was talking about this today. the booser we go to has a free table on saturdays, and we seem to be the only folk using it when we go.. so.. the pub is in burton on trent about a mile or so off the A38 . we go every 2 weeks pretty much, there is a big car park and the lucky ones get to park outside so you can stare at your pride and joy like we do ..

Used to play a bit of pool, in my youth. Been a while? :wink:

These days the pool table only gets used at Christmas, mainly for playing rc car pool. :wink:
 
I'd be up for that - if only I was a bit nearer than Berkshire! :(

Classic race for the corner pocket. Best bit is when one player gets to the Black ball and the other is trying to keep it out. :evil: :wink:

Well thats a shame mate. Cos i still owe you a pint for the stud you very kindly sent me. When you come up t' Zedfest are you stayin over per chance? cos we could all meet up for a game & a pint the saturday before :)

Not a problem - I used to pass by fairly near to you when I visited the former Mrs Tidy in Cheshire, but she's decided we're not speaking now! :lol:

I haven't decided about Zedfest and/or where to stay if I do - will PM you once I make a decision! :roll:

What else is up your way roadie ? Could sort out a weekend drive to you and see some sights , stay in a b&b or hotel and visit you n tug for said pool game ....
 
You got me thinking, what else? Blimey, what do you want? What doing like? Burton is a brewery town, we got the national brewery Centre, we got pumping houses, we got Derbyshire dales, we got riverside walks, and historical bridge, we got country roads and country pubs, every time I go Out I see a zed or two, and not one has ever waved back :(
This is also Staffordshire, home of the speed camera. Up the road is Derby, down the road is Birmingham, then Stratford etc.
