I drove into a stupidly high curb that has buckled the bottom of the bumper and scraped/cracked the paint. It has also cracked the undertray which is now half hanging underneath.

2 Questions

Is the lower grille a part of the undertray?

Anyone on here wrapped the lower part of the bumper as it would prob be cheaper option than a respary (and possibly better looking ?)

Big sympathy - my work car park has high kerbs and a few time I've grounded the front spoiler on them but with very little damage

Wrapping is an option but the shape looks complicated to get a good fit / finish?

Lower grill is a separate item.

Jembo has wrapped the lower part of his pre face lift bumper.

Why why why. Low curbs are available and high curbs and parking lot dividers/stops are still being installed too high , damaging cars around the world. I hope you can get it fixed up without too much cash outlay. That sucks

To all those who have scuffed the front splitter on a curb, (that's all of you ! ) smile at this. I drove into work and went too far up in the visitor lot. Scraaape, scrunch clunk. Reversed back a foot , slowly. Got out, looked, Started laughing and got back in the car.
Basically no damage to splitter, scratched on top of another "underneath" scratch, but the cement divider was in two pieces and dragged backwards into the parking space.  (Old and split where the pin goes through into the ground)

Finally put one in the win column

Hope you get it sorted, quickly and cheaply.

I got my Zed back from the chop shop this morning. Amazing how the pain and expence just seem to vanish, once you have you shiny car back to play with. :D
