VT2 upgrade kit started :-)

with the rpi exhaust sound is the same except, at high revs you can hear the air being forced through like a jet engine, very loud and alitle annoying on the motorway.......

the final cost ermmmm.................too much to be honest.

Simpson said boost gauge is essential, so thats the next purchase.

cheers kryton, guys i will post a much more indepth review after ive had abit more seat time, but so far............ the car is pretty much awesome!! 455bhp+z4m= brown pants!

Looks fab matey, very jealous. It's obviously in great condition too, which is nice to see.

Look forward to seeing her in action ! If you fancy a good drive, head out towards Solihul on the twisties & I can recommend the back lanes to Leamington 8) :driving:

Beedub, awesome, just awesome

The ESS looks like a superbly engineer piece of kit - OEM. Brilliantly fitted. Just looking at this makes me smile, your feeling must be a hundred fold! Once you get more acclimatised to the car I'd be interested to hear how it compares to the GTR - a mad rabid bastard I expect. Simple raw fun. :driving:

You should sign up for this - Manchester (West) Rolling Road Day Meet - I think if you did Ed could sell tickets

Bit of on odd observation, the fact that given your current fleet, you still rave about that Fiesta! A true petrol head.

Love it Beedub, fantastic!

Get some vids up as soon as you can and well done for having the balls to go through with it!

cheers

Jay

my fabulous little fiesta, the only car i would choose for a long run, great looking, brilliant drive, and ermmm i love the smell of burnt diesel!! one of the best cars ive owned.

tomorrow im going to get a three together for a photoshoot if the weather holds nice........................... more pics coming!! im on a roll now.

cheers guys, just keep your fingers crossed this works out for me....... car is now back in the garage, covered over..... till tomorrow.

That insurance premium hike sounds like the death knell on future supercharging here but that will just add to the mystique of your call Beedub. Crazy power in a tiny car...I remember when I first drove the M coming from my lowly A3, my hands were shaking afterwards, I can imagine the 'charged M is like that x2!!

I have to agree the current fiesta is a cracking little car for day to day stuff, my girlfriends had one as a hire car for 3 weeks, handles well, seats in it are better than mine in the z4. It will handle potholes and goes along the motorway at 80 mph and seems quiet and calm, even the storm trooper dash few on me after a while.

In fairness the car is probably too quick to open up fully on the knowle to warwick road!

Having just read the product description, I am very excited to hear how you get on.
Who knows, possibly I will have to trade in the 3.0 for the M and stick one on myself :D

Good luck and keep us posted

OR,u could just keep your 3.0,and get the ts1/2 kit, which simpson says is better for lowdown trq, etc, and they cant fit these to the m's,so they have to use the "older type" centrifugal type s/chrgr's;tho both are very good
I am v interested in doing this too/and have been for a while.
i spoke to anthony at simpsons 2day,and they are the only aprvd instlr of ess kits in uk,but just chg £5-800 per install(depending on kit u go for/bhp wise).
I would be hoping to get this next summer/so if any1 is interested in a group buy then, then let me know. i wonder if they would do a group buy discount if we were to order 2/3 kits for a 3.0 and 2-3kits for the m kits??

(tho simpson only chrg what ess have on there site as std,in dollars/transfered to sterling.)
how much discount did u guys get in your zpost group buy??

Craig the v3si is the latest charger ess use and has 78% efficiency, rated to 775bhp ;-) it's also completly silent in operation also, apart from the induction raw!!

My mistake beedub/i shouldve said its just a diffirent type,ie a centrifugal type is used on the m's,as opposed to the twinscrew type on the non-m's/which,according to simpsons, give better lowdown torque;although the power difrnce to start with will make this irrelevent anyway,in terms of overall performance. or at least, that is what i have been told.
Great install mate,it must feel superb. :D
so what do u prefer to drive/or what" feels" quicker to drive. the supercharged m or the gt-r?? (given power to wt ratio, etc)

if only i just hadnt spent a small fortune getting married, lol.

oh well, just need to start saving all over again

WOW! Thats a true stunner! That must give you a warm fuzzy feeling every time you look at it, let alone drive it!!

can anybody recommend a really really good quality boost gauge?

Autogauge ones are ok, pretty run of the mill but do the job. Dont buy any of the unbranded ones off ebay, theyre poo. :P
DEFI ones are VERY good, but iirc you have to install a transducer (ie, theyre not direct read-not that thats a problem, easier to install!) and can be quite expensive.BUT look the absolute bees knees...:)
Prosport ones are nice, loads to choose from though, led ones seem popular. :)

Again, loving the car...:)

Defi are defo good quality, yup I can't stop going out to the car and lifting up the bonnet, I've started it so many times to hear that swhhhhhwwweee idle whistle. So happy with it.
