Vredstein Tyres - Have you used them?

Hi,

I swapped my run flats for Vreds not long after owned my coupe and the time has come to look at replacing the backs, front wont be long after either to be fair but....

Previously I had Vred Ultra Sessanta's all round and they have been amazing! Not sure if others have used them but I was very impressed with the grip levels. Only problem I have now found is that the garage are reporting that the Sessanta's are being changed for the Ultra Vorti's and I have not had or heard of any experience with these...

Has anyone used these and how have you found them? Were they ok with a mix od sessantas as well? Any knowledge would be appreciated as if these new tyres are not as good I will not be too sure what to swap them with...again any used vreds and got good alternatives?

Running 18" wheels with 255/35 and 225/40, Cheers!

Can't answer your question but within the last 2 months I've had 4 ultra sessanta's fitted at Almalgamated Tyres in Northampton. They had to order them in but they arrived the next day.

I ran Sessanta rears with Vredestein Cento fronts on first Z4 , handled a treat & no traction issues from different tread pattern .
The Vortis are a top tyre & as close to a Michelin PSS (without paying Michelin money  ) that you will find , great tyres , id be more than happy on them in any car
If you read on tyrereview site they actually come out better than PSS's

The Vorti is a superior tyre, so you have nothing to worry about. The sessanta's are obselete now. I couldn't find 255/35/18's anywhere.

When I ditched my runflats I did a lot of research into there replacement. It came down to three Michelin , Goodyear or Vredstein . Based on the various reports I chose Vredstein Ultrac Vorti . I have now ran for 6,000 miles on them and I am totally satisfied they are quiet . grippy in both wet and dry and corner like on rails .The ultimate question is would I buy them again, answer, in a heartbeat. Go ahead you will not be disappointed.

Ah great, that's good to hear that the new ones are just as good if not better! I wouldn't swap the original vreds either if I didn't have to, they have been awesome! I have not tried anything else on the zed but if the cost of these is so much less than the PSS then I cant see a reason to waste the money tbf.

I can currently get them at £136 a tyre as well so I will get them booked in and swapped sooner rather than later :D

It would come in at £326 for all four including delivery from TyreLeader, assuming you're running 225/40/18 and 255/35/18. Then £40 to fit. Bargain!

I've just gone for Eagle F1s myself.

I'm running Ultra Vorti's on my M and wouldn't think twice about buying them again.

I don't do a lot of miles but they have performed very well in wet and dry. I would highly recommend

Hmmm...interesting, I haven't been on tyreleader before. I assume you have used them before and you have no complaints? Are those reduced prices on all of the time?

I've ordered my new tyres from them yes, and have no complaints whatsoever. Small review here - http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=80111&p=1182210#p1182210

I have no idea if the prices fluctuate though.

I've just ordered these for mine and I've had the rears fitted hopefully the fronts will arrive tomorrow.

My question is what tyre pressures are people running in these?

Edit found it 34 and 36

If standard 18inch staggered try 32/34 fPsi ront 33/36 rears
Best to find the exact pressures that work for you

Thank you for the reply, I'll use those as guidelines and see which I prefer. The back felt a little unstable at 36psi but then again I've not done enough miles to scrub them in yet.

Thanks again
