Vreds which ones?

Camskill have some 225/40/18 vreds on offer at the moment at £92.95 inc vat plus delivery. They are the Ultrac Sesantas. Thought I'd get a couple and wait for the rears to come on offer. Just wanted confirmation these were the ones that quite a few members recommend. Cheers

Indeed they are - with the funky tread pattern, right ? That is a really good price

Yeah they've got a definite rotational pattern. I'm desperate to ditch these awful runlats. The goodyears are fairly keenly priced as well but previous experience (from working for Goodyear) the sidewalls are seriously stiff and might not give a vast improvement over the Rft,s (unless you guys know otherwise,)

Don't know about Goodyear I'm afraid, I have Michelin PS3s on mine, which are very good.

Thats a good price for the sessanta , i have the ultrac sento's on the front & sessantas on the rear , the combination seems to work great so won't be changing .
Sure you won't be disappointed whichever you go for but if you do want all 4 same tread pattern the ultrac isn't available in 255/40/18

I would need 255/35/18 rears which are available @ £132.20 each
Is there a reason for fitting different vreds front and rear? Is that the best combo?

The rears should be 255/35/18 though ? :?

Oops, double post

I am a bit anal about having the same type of tyres on all 4 corners... I know you only need to ensure it across the axle, but if nothing else the different tread patterns make my OCD itchy :D

I remember doing back to back testing our Goodyears v Michelins on the McLaren F1 road car. The Michelin had really soft sidewalls against the Goodyears very stiff sidewalls. Jonathan Palmer the test driver always preferred the Michelins from cold but the Goodyears when (seriously) hot. As the car had to be supplied with our tyres on from new Michelin were keen to develop an aftermarket alternative....think most people changed to the Michelin once they'd bought the car anyway!

I can imagine that worrying some but maybe as i,m an aquarian it appeals to me :)
the ultrac cento isn't available in 255/35/18 either
