Vreds Inbound!

When I got the news the first thing I thought was the "lying" F***s! :D

Seriously, Its all about expectations and tyres are a very subjective topic.

I'm pleased its solved road noise and ride comfort, but very disappointed its not solved the tramlining issue, its now just a different type of tramlining (now lots of little constant pulls left/right on all lanes at 70mph, as opposed to less frequent but bigger left/right pulls you got with RFTs especially in the inside lane with the lorry divets). anything from 0-50mph is perfect.


Blue lines on the tyres are all on the outside, with the deepest water grove on the inside. looks good.

Hi Guys,

Whats the recommended Tyre pressure for the Vreds on the z4 coupe? Do we still go with the specifications on the footwell that I assume was for Run Flats?


Also.. My stubby just arrived :D Will miss my whip
 
Hey Guys,

I know I'm bringing a dead thread back to life but I decided to ignore micheldever Tyre's opinion that the alignment was fine after their test drive and that it was due to the tyre design. Well.. I went to the The Wheel Alignment Centre in Southampton a month ago. My alignment was way out all along!! 60 quid and 30 mins later and I was back in my happy place :D :driving:

Oh and these babies give you so much confidence in the wet..
 
I've had those Vred's on 3 different cars now and think they are great tyres for the price... are you feeling better about them on your car now????

They are about to be the new tyres for mine.... :roll:

How does putting non RF tyres on the car affect the low pressure warning system?

Yup. The system measures the rolling radius of the tyre IIRC when you set it, then alerts you if it changes sufficiently suddenly to indicate a puncture. It's got nothing to do with the tyre type. Just make sure you reset it each time you put air in :thumbsup:
 
I love Vreds, I had them on my last car. Good in the wet and under braking, if a bit soft in the corners.

This season I've secured a set of Conti Sport Contacts, just waiting for the new bigger wheels.

No runflats for me anyway, not in this lifetime.
