I just had 4 Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's fitted... seems very odd that despite the tread pattern they are not paired...

Oh well, as long as they work I won't argue... did look odd when they were fitted though :D

So is the deep ridge on the inside? I remember seeing these fitted to an Elise and the ridge was on the outer edge which made the car look wider.
I had regular (?) Ultracs fitted to a previous car and they wore very well. :)

Yeah, the deep ridge is on the inside, as in the pic. The tyres have "inside" written on the inner wall though, there is only one way to mount them. Sounds like the elise had them on wrong

There was a lot of discussion about the reversal of tread pattern from the right side to the left on one of the Corvette forums. At the end of the day it seems to not make any difference except the way it looks. Seem like they should have made a left and right tire. There is now a dealer in my area for Vredestein so I am considering them for my Z4MR.

They would look 10x if they were opposite, these will be the tyres I'll be getting when I need some though.

Just wondered what the rim protection was like on them, in light of reading Mr Whippys claims about his new Goodyears Assy's offering good protection due to being so much wider than FK452's, I might well consider a change when next I change my tyres, I'm getting sick of parking 3 miles from the curb in a paranoid attempt of keeping my wheels scuff free especially after failing once with the Front nearside one.

gud question, i've caught my alloys a couple of times (only small marks) with the current bridgestone runflats. My 318 had no rim protection and they were fecked.

cock all rim protection in 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 guise. But then neither did the Kuhmo ku31's in 245/275 width.

just having my csl alloys finished in shadow chrome, hope they look okay!!??

I think the rim protection is ok to be honest. At least better than my previous ditchfinders - Avon ZZ3.

Vvroooom stick up pics of the wheels when you're done won't you? I'm having this done at the end of the month too so very interested!

I fitted these when I fitted my CSLs a few weeks, and a few hundreds of miles ago. The do look great, but I find the front of the car tends to wash out just a little when taking tight corners at speed. I've noticed also more tyre squeal from the rears on rapid acceleration. I am unsure whether this is due to the tyres being new and having not yet lost their surface chemicals, or whether they simple don't grip quite as well as my previous tyres. I suppose also it may be a consequence of increasing the wheel size, but I suspect not.

Has anyone else found these tyres take a while to bed in properly?

Where do you guys order these from.. and how much in 19's? All my local places dont stock them.. and the places which can order them in dont do them for much less then Eagle F1's.

I just got a set of 19" from Camskill, £571 delivered. None of the local tyre places could get them for anything like that price and Event Mobile was £870 fitted.

Google is your friend.

I also just bought a set of 225/40/19 and 255/35/19 from Camskill yesterday for £600 delivered.

Ahh brill... funny enough from camskill 235/35/19 are cheaper then 225/35/19.

Just contemplating which wheels i should get then will order a set!
