Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta(I know, sorry!)

I didn't and don't rate them at all.

On a similar budget i'd go for TOYO's T1S

Or spend the cash and get Pilot Supersports.

I would LOVE to experience the REAL WORLD difference between Vreds versus Falkens and then top end tires such as Supersports etc.

I have always had Falkens on my previous Z's and then had Vreds on my ///M. The difference between these two for me was night and day. The Vred's were just SOOOO much better in the dry and wet in general driving conditions and also in spirited conditions they have been amazing.

Tire experiences is SO subjective and conditional to personal driving.

Would be great if a tire company had X sets of wheels with different tires on which they would bolt on and let you drive for a while before you made your choice :)

Witch Hankooks Stuart as some are very reasonable on the price front. I discounted them as I ve not heard anything about them? I nearly for a split second said yes to Nankang's but no no no!! Had them on the rear not a lot of grip!

I got these for £182 each fully fitted
Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110 265/30 ZR19 93Y XL

I dont think i could get away with 265 the rubbing would be horrendous? It rubs a bit now!!

You could have got Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 for about £20 more or the Conti 5P for about £10 more :P

Also, don't forget that the Hankook may have a 10-20% shorter lifespan than the Goodyear/Conti/Michelin, so a 10% saving now may translate into a 10% cost later on as you have to buy new tyres earlier. However, your mileage may not even wear one set out :poke:

BTW, I thought the correct size for 19" rears was 265/35r19 as it's closer to OEM (and makes the speedo slightly more accurate).

Just had the prices back!!

And i am going with the Falkens i am by no stretch of the imagination Jame Hunt so i am sure these will be plenty good enough for me.

I think the biggest problem of all in comparing tyres on your car is that invariably you are removing old rubber with low tread depth and replacing it with new rubber with around 8mm tread depth. New tyres of most makes invariably feel better than the old tyres you've just replaced (after you've got rid of the release agent on the tyres) for this reason. I've run several sets of Falkens on my Z3MC and like them and because they're relatively cheap, I ditch them with 4mm of tread for new rubber, whereas if I'd paid £1k for a set I'd feel more inclined to want my money's worth from them and might be tempted to run them down to the legal limit despite their performance being well past their best. I think you get used to the progressive decline in performance as your tyres wear away and it's only when you fit new tyres you realise how much better new tyres perform. I don't want expensive tyres that last for 25k miles, I want good safe tyres at affordable prices.

That was on #69 and Alpina Dynamics. The right tyre size for that car's wheels. Goodyear, Michelin and Continental were a fair amount over that price when I bought.

No idea what I'll put on the M when the time comes

Glad someone is happy with the falkens. I cant wait to try them out and drive the zed without run flats.
Ive had Falken's before Mm & wasn't disappointed with them  but i wasn't enthralled either & the prices are rising on them .
In straight comparison with vred's if the money is similar then its a no brainer for me
enjoy the new rubber mate , nothing quite like a fresh set of shoes

There is a big difference
£550 ish falkens
£780 verd's

That's fitted I am happy to give the Falkens a try at that price mmm.

I really like verds, think they are a great tyre, tho this was on my 3.0 z,and have standard m3 spec tyres on my z4m,which are better than i thought thye would be.

The verds are great in wet or dry,had them on several cars, all superb...but each to their own op i guess :driving:
