I use it as a proximity sensor, so if the car leaves my iPhone I will be alerted, perfect for night time and when parked in the day. The tracker is located hidden behind the front dash. £2 per month is a bargain, also I noticed some of the top trackers using the same Vodafone tech.

Steve, is this connected permanently to a power supply hardwired to your car or do you have to recharge it weekly?
 
It is permanently wired in directly, connected to a hidden cigarette socket to USB adapter, the Vodafone curve built in battery lasts for 7 days if the car battery gets disconnected.

Going to have a look at this and see what the T & C’s are about activating it. I don’t want to do it straight away but am intending making a few longer trips where I’d like to be able to remotely keep an eye on the car when in unfamiliar surroundings
 
1. Remove cigarette lighter socket unit
2. Solder on another cigarette socket to the + & - connectors on the back of the original unit.
3. Connect a USB plug adapter to the second cigarette socket
4. Connect Vodafone Curve tracker to USB port and hide behind the dash or above the rear stereo
