Bought an 05 z4 3.0i. Went for inspection and vin pulled from OBD is not a valid one. Dealers/shops closed already and I’d love to sleep tonight 
Not looking to fix myself, just curious what I can expect from dealer or shop with equipment to fix this situation. I’m in Rhode Island and they plug in to OBD regardless of model year.
