Watching the mythical Ragnar Lothbrok in Amazon Prime's 'Vikings'.
I'm up to Episode 4 of Season 4. No idea how historically accurate it is, but I'm finding it addictive - each season improves upon the last. It's spectacular in every respect
Anyone else a fan?

Yes,watched it from first showing of Season 1,great programming

Also a fan. You should read up on Ragnar and Lagertha, they are fascinating stories combining myth and fact

Yep, great TV show, one of our favourites. Less keen on the early part of S4 though, currently at mid-season break. Hoping for good things later on :)

Absolutely excellent program........Floki is my hero.....Watching on History so not as far on as others......no spoilers please..

Inspired my purchase of The Poetic Edda which is hard reading but very educational....

Love Vikings!
Everyone is exceptionally epic in it!

I actually prefer it to GoT personally. Still like GoT lots though!

Great show - i'm also watching S4 now :)

The Last Kingdom is another worth watching, based on the Saxon Chronicles (Bernard Cornwall). BBC's take on a Viking drama, but based on a very successful book series - would recommend reading!

Great show. If you like Vikings, try Outlander too.

Innnnnteresting...... will check it out!

Always love the concept of time travel but out of control - the endless 'what would happen if' scenarios.

I watched my first episode last week, using it to fill a Game of Thrones sized hole..

This thread has inspired me to crack on with it

I found it a slow burn to begin with, but after 3 or 4 episodes I was hooked

That seems to be the way with a lot of these big series. Even with GOT I wasn't really into it until Season4 and would have probably stopped watching (catching up) unless I knew what was to come.

Will watch an episode tonight
