Viewing tomorrow-what to look for?

Glad you're happy with it.
I think bluespit thought I was crazy when I said that I wouldn't let him buy it there and then and he should go home to discuss it with his wife first  I believe that the bespoke luggage was the overall deciding factor there :)
I hope you get plenty of enjoyment from the car.
This forum really is a great place for help, advice and camaraderie.
Now to look for what I'll replace it with, I'm thinking of a VW Karmann Ghia coupe or a Mk2 Jag but who knows what will be next, I'll stick a BMW sticker on it so I can still sneak into events on here πŸ˜‰ maybe a "My other car used to be a Z4 "

Don't worry, matey. I've never actually owned a Z4 and I am still here!
Now I want you to start a new thread to discuss the pros and cons and the choices of classic cars. Obviously they will be mainly cons! That is very interesting to me, as I have a few in my 'Bangers and Cash' folder as I like to call it. ;)

Well I know what it looks like but I’m sure others would like to see a photo of your new purchase 😁

There are quite a few former Z4 owners who tag along to the National meet in the Lakes and on some of B21's trips, and the forum does have an Other Marques section so it would be interesting to see what you do get.

Indeed. Hopefully two happy forum members. The drive home was most enjoyable, apart from getting lost 😞

Classic cars are my knowledge base, 9 MGBs, 8 minis, 3 Stags and loads of others. The car in my avatar is my current classic toy and I’m working on restoring a Vitesse 2.0.

The Z is our 129th car!, I suspect it’ll be with us quite some time!

It sounds like you have tracked down a good one then, so maybe a bit of budget stretch would be justified!

A new water pump is a bonus too as I got a bill for almost Β£550 from my Indy 2018 to supply and fit a new water pump to my 325i in 2018 with the same N52 engine. And despite having done 135K miles it still ran beautifully so finding one with just 50K on it is more good news.

My current daily is a 330i also with an N52 that is coming up to 130K and still performs great.
And you've also recently spent 3 days in this cars company πŸ˜‚

Interesting. A stag is on my 'maybe' list, so I would love to hear your thoughts on them.
