Going to have a look at a 2006 2.0l with 68k on the clock at the weekend. Are there any major costs when a z4 is coming to this mileage? Also are they serviced as the computer suggests or is there a service schedule? I believe this one has been serviced every 2 years.

There is a service schedule which is both computer and time based. The service intervals are as the compter schedule BUT if the vehicle has not been serviced in a two year time period then BMW state it should have an oil and brake fluid change at the 2 year interval. If its been serviced every 2 years then a good indications it has been looked after. Check the stamps in the service book. Good luck
Great thanks. I have printed off your guide and will be taking it with me! So there are no big things which would need doing at the 70k mark? For example the cam belt, but I think these are chain driven?
