Viewing a Z4 tomorrow - some advice?

with the current market, i would put my money on that they would require £4-5k ontop with your car to change.

depressing i know, but you never know, you might strike lucky.

prices on the s40 on current market on autotrader start at high £7ks to £8k, so i would doubt they would offer anything close to £8.5k you want.

cost to change in this example would be £2k for you, if you wanted £8.5k for yours and they want £10.5k for theirs.

i still think they would want around £4k!!!! but do prove me wrong ;-)

Well thought I'd do a quick post to save myself dying of boredom while I wait for someone to either buy my car or offer a good trade in for a Z4. When I first started looking for Z4's a few months ago I was also considering A4 convertibles. Well I sent an email of to a Volkswagon dealership last week to make an offer on a 2003 A4 2.5 tdi convertible with only 29,0000 miles and selling at £10,900. They have just got back to and said that they would do a deal for the Volvo plus £2,500 - that's a £8,400 trade in - is it me or is that a VERY good deal?

Shame that nothing but a Z4 will do though and typical because the other car I was looking at (Boxster) is a lot easier to get hold of now too!

Boxtsers are not bullet-proof and if it goes wrong like my brothers at only 15000 miles you could be looking at £10,000 for an engine rebuild . 'Common fault' he was told and Porsche paid for it after a LOT of hassle as he was a week outside the warranty.

Just remember the running costs of a porsche are not wallet - friendly. :o

You are right and that's why I can't see past a Z4 any more. I actually prefer the Z4 now, especially the 3.0i to look at, the feel of them etc. Also I'll get a much newer one with less worry and cost than a Boxster so all in all a better proposition for me.
