I'm was as sceptical as most about this, but she hasn't done a bad job imo. I have seen certain 'celebs' ruin cars, pink Bentley's and Jordan spring to mind. Some of the extra cost is going into the hand paint job which they're unable to do on the production line, and the numbers are going to be really limited I think, around 400?
The production line will be moving to 3 shifts as soon as possible at Halewood, JLR can't build them quick enough at the moment. Doesn't surprise me that they are getting common in certain areas. I have driven a few different versions of the Evoque and it does what it set outs to do well, find a middle ground between a 4x4 and a saloon, and if that is what you're after, then you'll probably like it. The magneride (electronic dampers) does make it great on what is unfortunately becoming the normal British poorly maintained road!
