vibrating gearstick

Hi guys, got a problem with my zed. When going past 3500 rpm i get a really strong vibration through the gearstick but before putting into the next gear the vibration slowly dies away.

No noise or vibration through the car, feels really smooth other than this problem. I have tried to eradicate this by some changes;

1) New engine mounts

2) New gearbox and diff mounts and new diff oil.

If i take her up to 5000 rpm there is no vibration. Could someone point me in the right direction, perhaps the doughnut needs replacing? :idunno:

Big thanks for that mate. Im just glad no other members have suffered with it, it is very worrying. Will just have to pay to have it diagnosed and sorted.

I think your not far off the money with your diagnosis. I would start with the doughnut, Engine mounts, Then gearbox mounts.
 
Big thanks MM, i have already changed engine / gearbox mounts so will go with a doughnut renewal and post up with results.

I would spend a few more penny's they tend to ware out and that one looked (could just be the picture) but a bit cheap. You don't want to do it again in 6 months. It's only bolts but a few things have to come off under there to get to it.

Thanks Marius but have just recently had new mounts on the gearbox so hopefully the doughnut is the culprit.
