I collected my car from Forza GB (very knowledgeable, Stuart knows his stuff, recommended) this morning after Stuart fitted VT engine mounts and changed the gearbox and diff oil, all part of my ongoing preventative and improvement maintenance regime.
My primary reason for fitting the VT's was to continue to improve the gear change, following the CDV removal and ZHP. After the gradual improvement following the previous mods this has made a huge difference, the gearchange is now how I've wanted it since buying the car. 1st to 2nd is so much smoother without any of the occasional juddering I used to experience. Actually, the whole drivetrain feels tighter, with none of the feeling of movement when coming on or off the throttle, and considering my old OEM mounts weren't in too bad condition it must be a flaw in their design. The only tiny downside us a very small increase in vibration as the engine goes to idle, but this disappears after a second or so.
I'm so glad that what I'd read about the VT's is true, anyone who wishes to improve the gearchange and all round feeling of tightness I'd definitely recommend this mod.
