very minor scratches

evening,

i have a couple of minor scratches on my bonnet, they are so feint that they can only be seen in certain lights; what have people found is the best way to remove them?

certainly they don't feel like scratches, i've tried poorboys black hole, autoglym srp and turtle wax colour magic. they are way too shallow for t cut or the like, has anyone any other ideas please?

the only thing that occurred to me is that i have 'filled' the scratches with clear wax (i used turtle wax sealer wax mostly) and they show up if the light's shining in the right direction but not otherwise....so perhaps i need to remove the wax and try a darker polish.

Sadly with a black car the swirls are hard to keep at bay. As above, machine polish is best bet.

If by hand, try using THIS METHOD with AG SRP, using many many layers

I had some realy light scratches on my bonnet from a cat sliding off it. Tried a few thing with no joy. Then tried Turtle wax Safe Cut. No more scratches.

thanks all :) , i suspect these may've been caused by the cat - she kicks it in the garage quite often.

McGuires ScratchX is also a good shout for very fine scratches - not as harsh as T-Cut, and leaves a find finish.

Meguairs Ultimate Compound is good stuff. I have a bottle of this and use it for fine scratches. It's less abrasive than T-cut and does a great job.
