Very Expensive Mouse

Radiator fan stopped working, so booked into dealer expecting a sensor or motor problem, no, a mouse had made its home and chewed the sensor wiring up, so is a new wiring loom £1500.
We use the car twice a week, never had mouse trouble before on a car used regularly

It’s in warranty so that isn’t an option, also joins in electronic circuits change the resistance and mess the readings up, nothing is easy these days.

Wow, that’s hard to believe. I’d certainly be setting a trap for that wee rodent….. very fortunate to still be under warranty

Catch the little trouble maker and lock him in the boot, on a little wheel, linked to the rear axle. Every MP counts. :)

This happened to me on an E89. A mouse took up residence in the engine bay and destroyed the acoustic insulation around the engine.

Cost me a few hundred to get it sorted.

You need one of these!.... this is our Head of Mouse Keeping. I also have an ultrasonic mouse deterrent fitted in the garage (don't know how effective its is).catbag.jpg

My former boss had mouse escape from some bags of garden rubbish into his car. A Renault something from a few years ago.
Cost around £2k for a rewire.
