Vemo camshaft sensor

no fit state

So it looks like my camshaft sensor exhaust side is on it's way out. Due to the time of year I've not been able to speak to BMW about a replacement, but I hear it's well over a £100 for one. There doesn't seem to be to much choice aftermarket wise other than one made by vemo http://www.motor-doctor.co.uk/products/7002621-sensor-camshaft-position

Has anyone got any experience with this brand? At £65 it's going to be around half the cost of the BMW. Also does anybody know who makes the BMW branded sensor?

Cheers.

Dont fit aftermarket sensors... They can cause all kinds of problems, especially the chinese stuff.

Find a Bosch agent,or OEM... I think they was around £90 each last time i bought some

Use a brand you've heard of that are OEM and you'll be fine (Bosch, Valeo, Febi, Hella, Delphi, etc).

On my E39 3.0i I had to change both inlet and outet camshaft sensor and got them from www.bestpartsstore.co.uk. No problems.

I would do if I could find one. It's seems to be vemo or BMW. I can't find any other options for it, so it's looking like a call to BMW tomorrow.

On the vehicle choice go for the 170 version (for 3.0) and you can check against OEM numbers. It says Vemo is OEM quality.

Thanks for looking for me but the only option for the Z4M there is a vemo one.

So after ringing a couple of places today in my search for an oem sensor and not getting very far, I spoke to BMW who are able to get one in for me this afternoon for £138 - 10% discount. A lot of money, but will get me going today :D
