VANOS SEALS REPLACED

BEEN HEARING A SLIGHT PINKING / RATTLE NOISE AT LOW REVS ITS WAS BUGGING ME SO CHANGED THE VANOS SEALS AND WOW WHAT AT DIFFERENCE STARPER ,FEELS TIGHT LIKE NEW ENGINE ......VERY IMPRESSED AND THATS BEFORE THE 200MILE BREAKING IN PEROID THAT IS ADVISED TOO GET THE OPTIMUM OUT OF REFIT .

Is that the besian seals you have used?

What sort of price was it, may have similar problem

Yes i used besian seals and with new gaskets price come to approx £100

I'm interested in doing this as well. Got an 03 2.5

I am not confident enough to do this myself so will need to go to a garage. Any idea on the cost of this job?

Parts + 4 to 6 hrs labour i would think ..........would'nt know what that would come too

Update......done the required 200mile breaking in.......i would compare by putting cheap supermarket petrol in then going back to the proper stuff the difference you notice double it ! Feels like a extra 20 bhp alot sharper and when the sport button is used its more noticeable.very happy i replaced
