vanos instuctions

can anyone point me in the right direction? i remember there being some issue with needed to drop the engine slightly? sounds a bit of a ball ache but I have all the bits so im in it now
 
Check out Beisan systems website for some decent instructions. They not z4 specific but the issue with clearance can be overcome by jacking up (not down) the engine a little

Thinking about it ducklakeview did a bit of a how to on this a few weeks back. Might be worth searching for that
 
Ta. Moving the engine rounds a bit of a pain tbh. I'd have to get the under tray off

RAISE the engine by undoing the two engine mount bolts from UNDERNEATH as they are easier to get to, also disconnect the lower rad hose from the engine end. After jacking the engine up, mine came off easily.

Thanks for the advice. My problem is getting under the car and getting past the large under tray. It's that easy to get off?
