Which is the best anti rattle kit to go for?
Is it the one from i6 which is a replacement vanos piston bearing ring or the kit from X8R which provides an additional washer (but keeps the original vanos piston bearing ring)?
I would like to hear about the different experiences on fitting each one of these and any problems especially when refitting to Inspect piston bearing axial play. From what I understand if this is incorrect the bearing has to be taken apart again and the additional ring/washer fitted has to be lightly sanded?
I don't like the thought of opening up the bearing for a second time to do this. So which would be the best kit to use to prevent this rework?
