Vanne roof, bit of a less fun post..

I don’t see why you can’t test the motor/pump by running a positive and negative to the motor with a 20 amp inline fuse

Well f**k me… I traced and removed the roof module and then removed the weird tape the previous guys had put around the lines leading up to it, to my surprise though, no cuts or mods made there, anyways, while I had the module out, might as well clean the contacts with some Crc spray..

So did that left to dry for 25 mins and then plugged it all back in..

Temp sensor code GONE!!!!

Hell yeah!!!!

Onwards and upwards
(I wonder if hotwiring the pump motor did anything like maybe it was stuck?) or maybe it was just dirty connection?)

The CTM is not that smart and a few corroded pins and all sorts of strange sh!t happens..good result ..

While iam there, I took the rear shelf apart, with the speakers in it, what are those two things I circled? Are they just lights? Or some weird infra red thingy? lol

The pump only runs in one direction,...
That is wrong.
The pump even changes it's rotation while opening as well as while closing the roof. That's the only reason there are two salmon relays mounted.

Violet - hydronic oil temperature, presumably it doesn’t matter which way they are connected.
That is wrong.
The internal temp sensor (NTC) of the pump's motor measures the temperature of the motors housing, not the hydraulic oil.

Holy cows..

And this was stuck on the right hall sensor in the bootView attachment 298593

To this round sensor here, which I think is a hall sensor correct?View attachment 298594
Or does it need to be on there?

And the hydrolic motor isn't running, just red flashes on the down roof button.

Also the boot now closes properly , but the rear emblem doesn't open the boot. I have to jump it to open it .
OMG!

Better you stop digging sooner than later.

It doesn't help neither you nor anybody else to place new speculative wordings into this forum.

So much nonsense in this thread doesn't make any sense to be commented anymore!
  • The plate is from the luggage compartment.
  • Your "round sensor" is a permanent magnet.
That's it, no more comments from me.
