Vandals bent windscreen wiper arm

Hi all,

New to this forum and was wondering whether anyone had any comments on the following.

Wednesday night some mindless chavs decided to try and destroy my windscreen wipers and in the process have bent the arm quite badly and the blade is now sitting proud of the windscreen.

How easy is it to remove the arm so I can attempt to bend it back into shape? Or is it just worth taking it to BMW to sort out? Does anyone know the part number for the whole arm?

Just the one bolt holds each arm on

I would check out eBay or breakers for a replacement

Sorry to hear that, don't know how to replace a wiper arm, I would think it would be quite simple though based on other cars I've owned, if all else fails go with Mrlozzers suggestion :thumbsup:

the arm is really easy to replace. just remove the cap and undo the single bolt, then with some gentle persuasion it will pop off. hope they havent damaged the mechanism in the process as the unit costs £250ish from the stealers
 
Apologies for starting the reply with ill-timed humour... I was actually in the process of looking for a constructive answer, but Ranski beat me to it... :oops:

In all seriousness, idiots who derive pleasure from mindless acts of vandalism need to be rounded up and shot. Or something. Rant over...
 
Theres a pair of wiper arms on ebay but there £20 each + £8 postage,so not sure if thats a good price or overpriced maybe worth getting a price from a dealers.

Cheers for the help. Took the wiper arm off and was pretty bent so I've ordered a new one off eBay. Job done.
