Vandalism?

After reading the most vandalised car thread from last year, has anyone had problems?

I am planning to park the car on the street but wondering how at risk a white BMW convertible would be!

A = Low Risk
F = High Risk
* = Any motorcycles in areas D, E or F must be garaged in a locked and secured building whilst at the policy holders address. In some of these areas this may also apply to cars.

I always think if there are other similar aged cars around it stands out less... and is less likely to be targeted :thumbsup:

in my experience it depends on the actual street pedestrian traffic.
between a rough estate and the pub is very bad
near a secondary school is also not ideal

I don't think any specific makes
Or models get targeted this insurance like to think that. My line of work is replacement auto glass I.e Autoglass , dad has his own company . Most common are the ones who leave anything in sight. We get people who window smashed because they have left a handful of copper coins in cup holder . We have only replaced 1 z4 screen aswell

Don't worry too much dude. I'm lucky cause I have a driveway and car would be parked in workshop during office hours

Want to vent. Two years ago. Within 2-3 months of owning my beloved Z4, was scratched on two separate occasions by vandals. Once was definitely during the evening in Windsor. It p*saws me right off. I try to be a considerate driver. It hacked me off, fecking idiots. Idiots. :x

Live in London and park my car on the street every day. Live very close to Ealing town centre and my car was parked outside my house during the riots when I was in Fubai, and the car was fine.....

colleague at work has a new shape Golf in white, somebody sprayed green paint on the front wing, not at work or his house, but round his in-laws! why I don't understand somebody would do such a thing???? :!:

Given my recent experiences, if I ever see anyone messing around with anybody else's car, be it a Bentley or a Ford Ka, I will be having have a wee word with them... :brucelee:

To be honest, I dont think it matters or that there is anything you can do about it.

At the end of the day, if someone wants to damage it, they will.

The only way to avoid that, is not to buy it in the first place.

Our cars are on our drive way, a quiet road with a walkway through it.

Sometimes we get chavs walking down, but not normally any problems. Once, a group of them picked up the shingle on a neighbours driver and threw it in the air, and some landed on my bonnet, causing a few little dents. But no hassle since, and thats in 11 years.

You could park it somewhere and have some twat dent it and drive off.

So there really is no answer.

I find not th,e car but colour attracts attention.

Something black grey or inconspicuous is okay. A lot of cars now in a bright white stand about which draws attention (white golf mentioned above). The same car in a different colour wouldn't be an issue no doubt.
I drive a focus ST. They don't stand out much, but mine is orange and draws a lot of unwanted attention.

A friend of mine was at his gf's place... In a very nice estate in richmond.... and saw some twats messing with someones cayman... So confronted them.... They ran off... Next morning his 350z and his gf swift had been keyed all around (and an insurance write off) and the cayman had its wheels missing, resting on bricks from the driveway.... Makes me so mad, dont matter where you live scum can walk to good places.

Wife is a teacher and the family car (civic) has just had a dick'nballs the size of a petrol cap etched into the rear wing, while parked at school...
