Valvoline VR1 racing oil 10W/60

Any one ever used this stuff on their E85 M ?
Seems to fit the spec required but just thought id check
Do you need 5 or 6L for an oil change on the M ?
Also will the Mahle oil fliter do the job ?
Total cost comes to £61 incl VAT from my local factor for 6 L and fliter
I was quoted around £77 for 6L Castrol Edge plus filter incl VAT and delivery from Opie so not a lot in it really
I know when had my Caterham HPC Evo and BDR ,my mechanic always used Valvoline race oil so im guessing its OK
 
Just rang BMW dealer and they are quoting me total incl VAt of £150-83 for 6L and filter -they said they use BMW Shell M twin power 10W/60 [as they no longer stock Castrol TWS] -seems a bit pricy eh

Think ive just answered my own question re the Valvoline Vr1 as it says on the web site thats its synthetic blend -which i assume means its not the proper fully synthetic spec needed for the M
