Valvetronic motor gasket replacement

Pretty certain I've got a leak around that area, I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations of someone to do it in the Midlands. Could do with getting this done before getting oil / filter change done.

Its not a big job something I did myself. Remove the surrounding bolts, then wind out the motor using an allen key (count the rotations), replace the gasket, replace motor (wind back in counting again), replace surrounding bolts.

I managed to not blow anything up  but maybe one of the more mechanically minded on here has a proper guide!

Did mine on a N52, fairly simple job and some great how to's on line. Did have to wind the motor out and in again. I didn't need to electronically reset the motor. Just cycled the ignition a couple of times and all good.

There's a good PDF 👆
(N52 engine)

Cant speak for everyone else but when I did mine I rotated the motor clockwise with an allen key counting the turns until it bottomed = X.
Wound the allen counterclockwise whist disengaging the motor and again counted turns. Y
Without rotating motor whilst removed - refitted - winding motor clockwise same number of turns Y until it was home and bottomed.
Wound motor out to original position X turns.
Use an OEM / Mahle gasket you should be right.
(Mine was N52 3.0si)

As you remove the motor it WILL rotate.
Better safe than sorry.
Put things back the way you remove them - in my opinion or you may wish you had.

Each to their own.
