Valve Cover Gasket Replacement

I'm getting ready to replace the valve cover gasket on the Z (M54 3.0i), so could anyone tell me the bolt torque settings (ft lb) and torque sequence. Had difficulty looking on line. Thanks for your help.

bolts have thread stops, i.e. they will physically stop at acertain number of turns so no fear of overtorquing or stripping threads.

more important is to pattern-tighten, preferably from the inside outwards.

i've done this to curtail my own 3.0i from decanting its' oil and worked a treat.

put some gasket maker on the corners and half-moons as they are known weak spots. i used aircraft-grade stuff. no leaks after a year.
good luck

Did mine last April. Very straight forward job. 20170418_103920_Richtone(HDR).jpg
All cover bolts are 10 Nm / 7.4lb/ft
I couldn't find a correct tightening sequence so just worked outwards from the central bolts in a sort of spiral. I used black JB Weld on the corners of the half - moons. All good and no leaks 10 months later.

Thank you Chris_D and patriot66 for the quick responses. Hopefully will tackle this job next week.
