Valve Cover Flange - oil leak - E85 2.0

Hi all,

I’ve got a bit of oil leaking from the Valve Cover Flange on my 2.0. I wondered if anyone had changed one of these and has some advice, I don’t want to break anything in the process. I will get a genuine BMW one from the dealer.

Thanks in advance. I’ve put a pic up so you know what part I’m referring to.

After some more googling I have answered my own question. ... I found this video that shows you how to replace the gasket (not on a Z4 in the video but its the same fitment on numerous other BMW's) Its called the 'Eccentric Shaft Sensor Gasket', part number for any E85/E86/E89 is ... 11377502022, and its about £8 from a BMW main dealer.

Hope this helps anyone who was scratching their head wondering how you remove it without breaking anything.
