I've been thinking about selling my Z4 for a while now, as much as I love the car I need something more practical.

How much should I be looking at given the condition and spec of mine?

It's a 2003 2.5i, mint condition, no faults with everything working correctly, 55,000k, FSH (BMW & specialist), and a hardtop. It has white leather and heated seats. Also fully de-gingered.

Work carried out to long to list but it's extensive and mostly to OEM specification.

I was thinking 6500 to 7500 with hard top?

I paid £4750 for mine with 54k not as good condition as yours tho! I like your hardtop i have a grey one if you wanna swap and maybe throw some cash your way?

I think it's only worth somewhere around £5k for the car given the combination of 11 years old and 2.5 engine.

Sell the hardtop separate as that's worth £600 at this time of year £800 in Autumn, so all in around £5,500.

Might seem harsh but as a 2003 3.0 owner with hardtop I figure mine's not worth more than £6k plus top and that with red sports seats, history, mods etc.

Wow Maldives does look great de-gingered. Mines very similar - 2.5 with the hard top etc but still cursed with orange :(

I'd agree around 5k for the car, stick the hard top on eBay come autumn if you have somewhere to put it in the meantime.

Well a little disappointing but I was hoping for 6500k as I have spent a small fortune on this one! May hold onto it for a bit longer as I think it's reached the bottom of the devaluation without silly miles.

Will be getting new parking sensors and wiper motor repaired as these are the final jobs to complete the project!

RE the hard top Dan; I don't think it's gonna help me achieve much profit wise I'm afraid! Get yours painted if it does match and wrap the roof spoiler in carbon

Omar, I have all my lights fronts and rears standard spec if you fancy donor parts for a project. Let me know if so, I could do a deal £...

Was worth a shot! Got a quote for 250 to get the roof sprayed not sure i can i justify it as i wont get the money back when i sell it! Good luck with the sell mate

I sold mine with hardtop for £6,200 in November last year

53 plate, Black, 3.0i, 83k, FSH BMW and specialist, nearly all options but satnav. De gingered, sports interior, gap tech, custom 108s etc etc. A really tidy example. There isn't a for sale thread. It sold without needing an advert. I made a throw away remark about selling and got 4 offers from buyers within a day. Good examples at a fair price don't hang around for long :D

£7k is unrealistic. There's a 53 plate on here with 15,000 miles on the clock struggling to sell at £8k. It's pretty much "new" condition, but hasn't sold yet. That should give you an indication of how difficult the market is just now

You could easily sell at £6k with hardtop. Maybe 10% more given that summer is coming. Lack of sports seats might drive the price down though

EDIT - just spotted it's a 2.5i. Sorry :( £5.5k is probably more on the money

Made me smile to read right through your post wondering about the price logic until I read you're edit and the adjustment. The 3.0 Vs 2.5 really makes a difference in the early market.

Despite all the mods on mine, which were tastefully done - I think mine sold for marginally more than a bog standard example. Such is the way with mods

I do think that the mods on mine made it sell quicker
