Officially you need wheels designed to take run flat tyres - they have a lip around the inside to hold the sidewall in place if there is a puncture, the V710s probably wouldn't have that. Also, looking for tyres I have noticed that run flats are listed specific to manufacturers, so I don't know if they have different designs. Obviously many of us have non-run flats on BMW RFT rims, so it may work the other way. However, you may not find someone to fit them for you due to safety concerns. I'm not sure how a RFT tyre would behave on a standard rim if punctured, where a standard tyre would flatten the stiffer RFT sidewalls would hold up the side of the tyre, but without the lip to hold the bottom of the sidewall in place, it could slide inwards causing the tyre to fold over. They may not go on in the first place. That is speculation of course, hopefully someone will clarify.

If you have a decent amount of tread on the RFTs I'd sell them on eBay, there is usually interest from people giving cars back to BMW, and buy some decent non-RFTs - you can usually buy 4 for the price of 2 RTFs!

A drop is not required.... I have 19's without one.... Looks a bit like a 4x4 but not too bad!
 
You don't want to mount RFs on not RF rims and you would have difficulty finding a tire fitter to do that anyway. Sell the RFs and make the switch to regular performance tires is one of the best upgrades you can make. If you have a question about what specific rim and tire combination will work post up the detail including rim size and offsets as well as tire sizes and there are a lot of us here that can tell you if a certain combination will work or not.
 
$1,545 for Hankook Ventus V12 in a 225/40/18 and 255/35/18 and V710s in a 18x8.5 ET35 and 18x9.5 ET45. What do you guys think? Thanks again for the continuous support!
