V6 mk1 TT round 2 nsfOG

I had a 225TT Coupe and the interior was one of the best I've owned. It was incredibly unreliable though - the warranty paid out more than the purchase price of the car over the five years I owned it.

That's pretty much my experience with TT ownership. The Interior was superb but it cost a fortune in repairs - my EML was probably on monthly.

If I had a big enough garage I'd own another (QS or V6).

Diesels are over rated IMO.....
1. Diesel price at the pumps is more expensive
2. Initial purchase cost of a petrol car is cheaper
3. I believe you need to be doing 15K per year to see any real monetary savings

So many plus points of petrol cars still...

Result :) Just spoke to Audi & booked in this Saturday morning for free replacement of all 6 coilpacks :driving:

How did you manage that Andy?

Does it have a warranty?

There is a recall on them which i knew about from my previous TT , not only the parts & labour (approx £200 ? ) but the car is virtually "MOT'd" for free during a free vehicle check & also gets diagnostic scan where i guess they hope to uncover something they can do & charge you for
Then its booked into my BM indy a few days later for service & fettle :driving:

Split the shabby wheels today & fitted some BBS Anniversary's temporary while they get refurbed
20mm spacers now on + lowering springs have arrived :) as the pics show from today they are very much needed to get the stance the car should have had from factory imo

What are your plans for the wheel refurb ?
Definitely silver rim , undecided on the centre whether to play safe with contrasting silver , black or try some sort of shadow chrome :?

As above, looks good but I'm sure you have some better wheels lined up.

Collected today after asplit , blast & powdercoat

Job done  2 weeks since i took a punt buying the V6 in ebay auction unseen & untested :o but i had spoken to the seller numerous times & had a good idea what i could spend on the car without leaving me in the red
£800 on top of the purchase price which is where i wanted to be ,
It's now had 6 new coils FoC from Audi , BBS wheels split & powdercoated , 4 Dunlop winter sport tyres fitted , 4 lowering springs , hubcentric spacers , oil + filter ,haldex oil , coolant & brake fluid changed with new discs & pads on the rear :driving:
