Is there a latest version of the sat nav software available and does anyone know how to get it and if it is worth it?

It all depends on your current version. See the following for details: NAV V32

Upgrading versions just to have the latest version is not always the best thing to do. You need to weigh the pros and cons of the features/bug fixes/etc. and worry about new bugs that are introduced like with the iphone Apple software v2.0

Can anyone remind me how to get perspective view? Just had my Amp replaced under warranty and the Nav has reset to default....need to get it back...

Go to setup, press menu button for 8 seconds which gets in advanced menu. Select the tick box for perspective.

On the normal nav screen, select orientation, select perspective

Do you have to have version 31 software to be able to see Perspective?

No, V27 onwards

I put V31 on there, this just seems to fix bugs - but I don't seem to have any, so I'll leave well alone!

Ah - I should have version 27 - my car is a 2007 build. Do you find out which version you have through the nav screen? I had a play and could not find how to set it. Do you go to the "computer" section? :?

2007 would have V29 or V30 at least. Mine has V29, being April 2007.

Go to Setup on the screen, and software version is on the right top (1/80 or so).

The following are the releases:

V26 (Perspective version): 4-1/60
V27 4-1/70
V28 4-1/80
V29 4-1/91
V30 4-1/91
V31 4-1/100

Just done mine, have to say it was the scariest thing for about 4 hours.

All I can say is be sure you burn on 1x CD or else it will be fun (like I had)
