Only difference between v31 & v32 is the ability to read DL disks, all updates after 2010 were on the larger disk but can be modified by removing languages to fit a normal DVD anyway.

Glad you got it working again, soooo frustrating when it won't eject

maps are avail from a dealer for £99 for an upgrade i believe

Believe its an upgrade/trade in - £99 plus your old disk - to get your new upgraded disc. They will also do a deal for the previous years (2011-1 or 2011-2) if they have any old stock.

I'm not keen on doing the upgrade incase I brick the device, what version did postcode search come in? and is there a list somewhere of the features of the various versions? I just want to workout if I think it's worth the risk or not.

UPDATE:

Decided to just do it and the upgrade worked no problem. I can't seem to see the postcode search but I'm assuming that's because I have an older 2007 Maps disk which might not have that info on it. Next task is to buy an updated Map disk.

As long as you have v32 of the firmware you should be able to use the post code search bit.

you need the 7 digit postcode search on the map DVD also.

I have finally managed to get a 2012 DVD working which actually has my road on it and the dual carageway that has been built for the last 2 years.

Just noticed since updating mine yesterday it's switched to French

How do i get it back to English? I can't find a language setting in the menu

I think there must be a bad firmware disk going round, hence the french language

The only way to get back to english back is to flash the firmware with another firmware disk, maybe your previous version if you still have it

That's a bugger.. Just downloaded the ISO from this thread... can I re-flash with another v32 disk, or do I have to downgrade then re-upgrade?

It's all strange, directions are in english, as are most of the menu's but some are in french, and the travel information is all in french.

I don't have an older disk (car didn't come with one) has anyone got a link to an earlier version I can download. Thanks.
