V32.2 FIRMWARE

im now downloading v31 so we shall see how that goes, i'm using toast on my mac to burn the disc, it worth trying other software? i also have windows 7 pc i can use
 
I used the built in windows stuff but couldnt get it working was reading up some people were using Alcohol and others Nero..
 
still no luck, have tried v29 and same story. no loading screen or anything no matter how long i leave it in there, have tried disconnecting the batt as well and that did nothing to help,
i burnt it at x1 and verified the disc after with no issues
 
tried redoing the v32 disc and just comes up saying 'cd is defective' 'remove cd and press ok'
so i remove it and put the map disc back in then the screen turns off and the power light in the dvd unit goes out and i can get nothing on the screen after that
am so annoyed at myself as i should have just left it alone in the first place! i rarely use the sat nav anyway
i just want to get it working again and am at a loss of what to do :( i don't care about the update anymore i just want to have a working screen again
 
I know your pain, and i was able to found that cd i used to recover my navi..
im making iso file from it right now, and ill try to share it to you as soon as i figure best way to do share it.. any suggestions?
Its around 250mb in size..
 
Burn the disc on x1 speed else they never work.
I always used to use Nero.

Went through a phase of hacking the os just so I could change road coulours background images to mountains or clouds. (just because I could before you ask)

As said go back one version then forward again.

Thanks, but the lite version only seems to support up to 50mb files.. how about dropbox or sendspace.com?

Sorry to here you are having problems, my disc works fine. Where are you based? If your local to me we could meet up and I could bring my discs

Sorry Komec - I'm an early adopter so my free version gives me much larger file sizes than that (just one at a time though unless I zip them)
 
Komec, I can host it on my server if you want?

I can even put up links to the 3 files listed here - the 4shareed firmware disc, the 4shared ISO and Komec ISO.
 
Aj1, im uploading it to you now via sendspace.com..
Remember to burn it at slowest speed as possible. high speeds increase risk of reading error on cars dvd unit.

You can click this link and it 'should' either bring up an FTP window (or launch & connect your FTP application) where you can drag & drop your file into the folder.
