V32.2 FIRMWARE

I have just uploaded the software in a zip file for anyone to download. you will need to install 4shared but its free.

FIRMWAREv32.2.zip

download and extract, burn to disc and call disc "NAV_SW"

Software update instructions for your MK4 DVD unit:

1. Turn ignition key to position 1
2. Go to your MK4 DVD unit and eject the map disc, if in.
3. Insert the software disc and wait for it to eject within 5 mins (it will update during this time)
4. Remove software disc
5. Go to head monitor and press the right selector button to confirm with ok (you MK4 unit will now reboot).
6. Go to your MK4 DVD unit and insert your map disc.

3D Perspective Mode
1. Press MENU, then select SET, then press and HOLD the MENU button (for about 6-8 seconds) until the hidden menu appears, go to the bottom of the list and select PERSEPECTIVE to swith ON
2. When viewing map, press the right selector button, then MAP POSITIONING, then PERSECTIVE and there you have it.
Night Mode
• Can be enabled by pressing MENU, then select SET, then select “2” for Day/Night mode

UK Postcodes
Can be accessed by pressing the right SELECTOR button, then INFORMATION → TRAVEL INFORMATION → INFOR ON CITY → SEARCH → TRAVEL and there it is on top.

just checked original disc and it was copied onto a CD not dvd

if you highlight all folders & files then it should equate to
size: 273MB (286,950,892 bytes)

on CD you should have 391 files, 111 Folders

The CD should look like this when you open it:

i'm having big problems
the first disc i burnt started to load then said something like disc failed press ok to return and see your user guide, but since then i can't get anything on the nav screen, the radio and cd changer play fine but the screen in dead

please help!

What did you actually do? DId it start to update? Did you interupt it before it finished? I would bet if you had a working FW CD and started the process again, it should flash ok.

Make sure you let the car sleep between checking it - takes about 30 seconds when locked iirc.

Have you tried leaving it for an hour or so?

Same thing happens with hooky map discs.

Dont worry.. i had this one too.
I just burned older firmware to a cd and flashed it to my car (i believe the old version was v31).. and after that i tried again with new one..

Yes good point, the FW won't install if you try the same version to what it has already, so burn a v29 or v31 and then reflash to v32
