JOKE.....

ok back to my actual reason for starting this thread! i got a couple of questions....

1) do i have a MK4 satnav? I have a 2004 3.0 with business satnav. (YES I DO)

2) is there anyway to change the right radio button so that it rotates the options for cars with the steering wheel on the right side of the car? you need to rotate it anti-clockwise for it to scroll down through the options and vica versa. this is surely wrong for RHD cars? this is not a big problem, obviously, just an annoyance.

thanks,

Awesome, I just went :slaphead: and was thinking "...come on guys, not again FFS"

Don't know about your queries either.

1) Yes you should have a Mk IV. To double check eject the disk. DVD is MkIV, CD is a Mk III or lower. It also says 'DVD' on the facia somewhere

2) What are you talking about??

1) I also thought it was a Mk4 as i've got the DVD sign. My problem is that i recently got the v32 update + 2009-2 road map, but I can't get it into the perspective mode. Instructions say that i should go into the service menu, but i cannot get into this screen. I've gone into the config menu and held down the right button for ages but it just stays in the config menu. what am i doing wrong?

2) when you rotate the right radio button, say, clockwise, it scrolls up through the menu screen. shouldn't it go scroll down instead for RHD cars? if you try it out you'll see what i mean. i'm being very picky here, but thought i'd bring it up anyways.

1) Can't remember, but go look at X5world.com (or whatever they call it now xoutpost.com) under it's navigation section in hints and tips. More detail on setting up that you could ever desire on getting into the sub menu and setting perspective, os versions, etc.. I do recall it took me a few tries to make it work with key in and out, on and off until something worked, then you just pick from the normal or perspective options.

2) OK I understand now. Well imho it's working the correct intuitive way. clockwise to go up would confuse me.

1) ok i found the option. i was pressing the wrong button. now i've run into a BIGGER problem! my satnav keeps crashing after the upgrade to v32. anyone had this problem?

2) well mine goes up when i go clockwise and visa versa.
