Using E-85 on a BBC w/blower

I am being told my brand new carbs will need to be gone thru and rejetted so I can use e-85 in my bbc with a 871 blower. I would like any advise on this matter if possible? Reason being I a moving to E-85 from premium fuels is due to the 10/1 compression I have in the motor now. Thx for any help ! Steve

Can you give a bit more information?

Not sure you’re on the right site.

E85 on here is a model of BMW Z4 not a fuel type

LOL - I thought I was back on the UK Cobra Club forum for a moment there! :)

I then turned the question around and tried to picture a supercharged big block Chevy V8 in a Z4. Width and lengthwise it would probably fit, but I'd imagine you'd need to cut a hole in the bonnet/hood for the blower!

To the OP: Steve, if you have Holley carbs, then based on my experience of their quality control I'd stay away from E85! I fitted a 670 Street Avenger to my Cobra replica that disintegrated internally with the standard E5 (5% ethanol) we have here in the UK (the Volvo Penta debacle).
